Rational Thought Void of Confusion, Where Art Thou?

(aka, My Essay Is Due Tomorrow)

Winona Wynn

With an open mind, a furrowed brow, and every good intention,

I approach the computer with a small armload of books, notes, and a cache of resolution;

Finally ready to enter into an eloquent war of words worthy of my time and effort.

I lower myself tentatively into the sacred computer chair.

My hands hover above the keyboard.

Heart rate elevated? Check.

Palms sweaty? Check.

Feet poised for flight? Check.

Ten thousand thoughts racing my mind? Check ad infinitum . . .
