There was a saying,
Some called it a Proverb
But nonetheless they
Said it and said it often
"Can anything good come out of Nazareth?"
Heck they say that about the Southside of Chicago,
And Watts and Harlem and Compton and even the Hilltop

Yeah, they say it. Can't nothing good come out of that side of town.
I heard them
And it pinched me in my soul

Then I heard about this man called the Nazarene
I said, let me look this up, it sounds like
What they said about Him, they say about me too
I found out something that was hid in a book
We all have access to
But few people
Read

Much of the Book has been reduced to sound bites
And witty pronouncements
The import of which has faded
Like the sun at dusk
And the darkness that once covered
the face of the deep now covers
the infusion of the blessed assurance in Who
He is

He is the Alpha and the Omega-present
In Genesis and 65 books
Later in Revelation

He is the Healer
Saviour
Redeemer
Bright and Morning Star

He is the Rock of Ages
Lamb of God
Who takes away the sins of the world

He is the Provider
Shield
Protector

He is Power
Love
A sound mind

He is Omnipresent
Omnipotent
Omniscient

He worked miracles of healing
Deliverance
Provision

He gave peace
Transformed lives
Raised the dead
Casted out devils
Loved unconditionally

He gave His life for mine
He asked
Would you be healed
And He healed them
And He made them whole
They washed at the pool
And they saw

He spat on the ground and mud became a healing salve
He gave parents back their children
Some were dead and others mentally deranged
He empowered others to go out and heal
Using His Name

He said
Whatever you ask the Father, in My Name, I will do it
He said
The things I do you can do and
Greater still

As the Light of His incomprehensible love dawns on us
And we see clearly now
As the dark and the obstacles dissolve and disappear

We stand on the new knowledge that we are victorious
We are more than conquerors
We are strong
We are healed
We win!!!

As all things work together for the good for those
Who love God and are called by Him
Our declaration in the light of day and
in the dark of night
Is
I love you Lord

And Yes, I accept the call to exemplify you to all humanity
Even though others may say nothing good comes from where
I came from
I know I can do all things through
Christ Who strengthens me
I have the power to prevail against darkness, sin and hatred

I have the God-given power to tread on serpents and scorpions
And over all the power of the enemy

I opened the Book

I read about a Man Who had people to whisper about Him
Just like they whisper about me.
He achieved the greatest victory possible-
He conquered sin, death and the grave
And He gave the keys to that victory to me.

Therefore
I am victorious just like Jesus!!
And I win! Just like Jesus!
Amen! Amen! Amen!
