Jan. 13: Introduction to Course. In-Class Diagnostic Writing. SC: Preface. What Is Sentence Combining, and Why Should You Know about It? SC: Units One (The Base Sentence), Two (Independent and Dependent Clauses), and Three (Passive Sentences).

Jan. 27: SC: Units Four (Coordinate Conjunctions) and Five (Subordinate Conjunctions).

Feb. 3: SC: Review One. Units Six (Subordinators for Comparison/Contrast) and Seven (Subordinators for Concession).

Feb. 17: SC: Units Eight (Transition Words/Phrases--Conjunctive Adverbs), and Nine (Parallel Structure--Punctuating "Lists").

Mar. 3: SC: Review Two. Units Ten (Adjective Phrases), Eleven (Prepositional Phrases), and Twelve (Appositives).

Mar. 17: SC: Units Thirteen (Adjective Clauses), and Fourteen (Verbal Phrases--Infinitives and Participles). In-Class Writing Assessment.

AFTER Mar. 17:

Complete SC Reviews #3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
