Culture Day #2 Presentations/Reports

1. Choose some artifacts ("things") which represent or EXPRESS yourself. Past student choices have included everything from dancing to cooking to singing to painting vans.

2. Watch the Culture Day #2 video set to see some examples of how you might use an artifact, photos, or your own art/music/literature to illustrate something about yourself.

3. Choose a method to "share" your artifact such as a PowerPoint presentation, an outline with attached graphics and explanations, or a video presentation.

4. In your presentation, you should briefly describe or share the artifact (or attach a picture, copy, etc.) and explain how it relates to you and what it might express about yourself. Then connect it to the particular culture or cultures from which you come. For example, you might take part in a certain craft or skill because it is a part of your culture or because someone in your family passed that down to you. Again, look at the sample videos to get ideas on how you might do this.

5. Final Step: Prepare your presentation and then upload it to the Forums, e-mail it, or arrange with Dr. Schmidt to upload it for you. You may also be able to present via Elluminate.
